Ceb Returns to OG After 6 Months (Sumail Kicked From OG)

Sebastian “Ceb” Debs has officially returned to the OG Dota 2 roster after announcing his retirement about six months ago. The pro player has won two TIs and countless other Dota tournaments. OG esports, the team Ceb plays for, made it official via their social channels.

Ceb will be substituting Syed Sumail “SumaiL” Hassan, who has been removed from OG. Ceb’s return was almost unexpected but fans and pros have extended a warm welcome to the return of one of the best Dota 2 players in the world.

Ceb confessed in an interview with the OG Esports that while the retirement period was definitely a relaxing and refreshing time, a part of him still thrived to be back in the game. In his own words, he said that “there’s a fire inside me that can’t be extinguished.” He further went on with an oozing confident, “I honestly kinda take offence in the simple fact that other teams think that they can beat us”, Ceb told OG.

Earlier this year, Ceb had stepped down the from the active roaster and moved to internal functions of OG where he could support his team and other OG teams. At the time, he had lost motivation thus, couldn’t give his best to the team. Ceb further goes on to explain that it was difficult to manage a healthy social life with friends or girlfriend’s’ along with his game. At the same time, every movement he aspect away from the game felt like a “waste of time”.

Ceb’s first match after his return will the Dota Pit tournament on 27th July. Apart from Ceb, the new OG roaster will consist of Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng, Topias Miikka “Topson” Taavitsainen, Martin “Saksa” Sazdov, Johan “N0tail” Sundstein. It’s quite likely that the same OG roaster will compete in the Omega League, the digital substitute of The International in 2020.
