Killjoy, The New Valorant Agent Leaked

Thanks to a careless leak on Riot’s website, we finally have the first look along with the complete set of abilities of the new Valorant agent- Killjoy.

Riot Games has been teasing the new agent for quite a while now with in-game posters. Yesterday, we finally had a concrete look at the new agent thanks to a leak on the website which was quickly reverted. Following the leak, Riot’s Twitter account tweeted ‘Wer ist sie?’, German for ‘who is she?’. The tweet was accompanied by a few seemingly random photos, but a deeper analysis unfolds a wider story. The laptop with a German keyboard layout hints to a few cybernetic abilities. A turret and a surveillance bot in the following pictures are pretty self-explanatory.

A Twitter user leaked all the special abilities of the new German agent.

Alarmbot (C) – Equip and deploy a bot that hunts down enemies who dare to get in range. When my killer robot friend reaches its target, boom goes the idiot. Alarmbot not only deals damage, it temporarily leaves affected targets vulnerable to double damage from all sources. Hold equip if you want to recall your deployed bot.

Turret (Q) – Sometimes it’s good to plant some roots. Deploy a turret that fires at enemies within its 180-degree cone. Hold equip to recall the deployed turret. With my turret, I can hold an area pretty well myself while the others cover the angles I can’t.

Nanoswarm (E) – OK check this out. Throw the grenade. When it lands, it goes quiet. Then, activate the Nanoswarm to deploy a damaging swarm of nanobots and catch the enemy crying. I love this trick!

Lockdown (Ultimate) – You’ll have to adjust your timing for the windup, but once you get this device going, it detains all enemies caught in its radius for about 8 seconds. Yeah, enemies can destroy it—except I built plenty more.

The turret ability is pretty similar to that of Torbjörn from Overwatch, while the Lockdown is an excellent move to protect your spike in the final moments of the game.

Killjoy will be available with the first act of the second episode, which is quite likely to drop on August 4. Killjoy’s origin story will also drop on the same day, an important aspect of lore building.

In addition to the new agent, we can expect to see a new map, new game features and a host of major improvements in the next episode of Valorant.
