In an era of constant transformation and shuffling, plenty of Dota 2 teams worldwide have taken the pandemic-triggered hiatuses to revamp their rosters. The latest notorious change comes from veteran Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan—the Russian/Armenian Dota 2 professional player. Jumping from HellRaisers to FlyToMoon, this is the player’s fourth Dota 2 team within the last year.
RodjER had played with FlyToMoon as a stand-in previously this year. The roster proved successful when FlyToMoon earned the winning title in the European Divine Division of the Omega League. The chemistry between Nikogosyan and the existing FlyToMoon team was indisputable. It really should come to no one’s surprise the team’s decision to pursue a permanent partnership with RodjER.
In an announcement done through the team´s official twitter account, FlyToMoon welcomed RodjER and presented him to their fanbase. Many fans expressed their excitement and warming welcoming wishes, signaling a good start for Vladimir within this new team.
RodjER previously played for Virtus.Pro back in September of last year, before proceeding to move on to Winstrike Team in November of the same year. He would then transfer to Hellraisers on March of 2020. However, RodjER has last tasted success in 2019 with Virtus.Pro. Could his search for the first place be the force behind his lack of commitment to a specific team?
If this is the case, FlyToMoon looks like an unlikely choice. The team has performed poorly in the two and three-tier tournaments in the last five months. Prior to the previously mentioned Omega League Eurepoean Divine Division success, FTM had a consistent 8-Eighth-Place streak amongst their games. Apparently, the team’s captain, Andrey “ALWAYSWANNAFLY ” Bondarenko, is a tough teammate to adapt to—in regards of gameplay.
With a new roster consisting of Bodgan “Iceberg” Vasilenko, Alik “V-Tune” Vorobey, Victor “GeneRaL” Nigrini, Andrey “ALWAYSWANNAFLY” Bondarenko and, of course, RodjER, FTM seeks to continue finding glory and success in the upcoming tournaments. With the OGA Dota Pit season 3 coming up, FTM will have to show the world what their new roster is made up of—and maybe RodjER will finally find a new home.
