Allied Esports had set a high benchmark for themselves with the Odyssey. “We’ve spent a significant amount of time developing a unique format that creates marquee matchups each day and storylines throughout the event that are must-watch for fans, all while being extremely competitive for the teams involved,” says Jud Hannigan, CEO of Allied Esports. “For us, it’s all in the name, Odyssey. Our teams will need to bring the intensity over six days. It will be a journey where each team will face off at least once on the road to the playoffs, which gives fans a chance to see every matchup possible. That is rare for most tournaments today. We’ve also added a twist right at the start that is unique to Odyssey, agent picks before each game, that should add a layer of strategy for players and be a lot fun for people tuning in to analyze and engage with.”
